Getting in and off and making
a transfer

Before getting in, getting out,
or making a transfer, the
brake should be applied to
the wheelchair.
Getting in:
•
Apply the brake to the wheelchair. See
'Parking'.
•
Fold up the foot-support (B). See 'Folding
up the foot-support'.
•
Carefully seat yourself in the chair.
•
Fold down the foot-support.
When making a transfer, for example from a car to the wheelchair, from the side,
proceed as follows:
•
Apply the brake to the wheelchair. See 'Parking'.
•
Take down the arm-rest concerned (A). See 'Taking down an arm-rest'.
•
Fold up the foot plate (B). See 'Folding up the foot plate.
You now have maximum access to the wheelchair for a transfer sideways.
•
Carefully seat yourself in the chair.
•
Replace the arm-rest.
•
Fold down the foot plates.
Getting out, in both cases, is done in reverse order.

Folding up the footplate

making a transfer, the footplate can be folded
up (A) by hand.

Pushing the wheelchair

can be adjusted to the desired position. See
