Problems Relating to Monitoring and Controlling Projectors Using a Network

Mail notification messages are not being sent when a problem occurs with the projector
Check
Is the network cable connected correctly?
When using the EMP-835
connected to a wired LAN, or
when using the EMP-830
Is the wireless LAN card inserted?
When using the EMP-835
connected to a wireless LAN
Has the "Priority Gateway" network setting
been made correctly?
When using the EMP-835
Are the settings for connecting to a network
correct?
Has "Standby Mode" been set to "Network
ON"?
Has a critical problem developed causing the
projector to momentarily stop working?
Is power being supplied to the projector?
Check that the network cable is connected correctly. If it is not connected or is connected
incorrectly, reconnect it.
Check that the wireless LAN card is correctly inserted into the card slot of the projector.

Error notification e-mail messages are sent using the network connection that has been specified by
the "Priority Gateway" setting. (The default setting is "Wired LAN".) Check that "Priority Gateway"
has been set to a valid network connection type.

If using the mail notification function while the projector is in standby mode, change the "Standby
Mode" menu setting to "Network ON". s"Extended" - "Standby Mode"
When the projector has momentarily stopped working, it cannot send e-mail messages. If the
projector cannot be reset even after it has been checked, contact your dealer or the nearest address
provided in the "International Warranty Conditions" section of the Safety Instructions/World-Wide
Warranty Terms booklet.
Check if the power supply to the location where the projector is set up has been interrupted, or if the
circuit breaker for the electrical outlet that the projector is connected to has been tripped.
