Controlling external devices with the remote control

Press SETUP.

• If no operation is performed within 30 seconds, the remote control
automatically exits from the setup menu.
Use the cursor keys (q/w) to select an item and
press ENTER.

Assigns a function to each key by learning the code
from other remote controls.
Registers the remote control code for external
devices.
Edits the device names or scene names displayed
on the remote control's display window.
Programs macro operations (sequence of control
commands).
Clears the remote control configurations.
Erases a function assigned to each key by learning.
Extended IR code mode. This feature is for the
authorized custom installers only.

Registering remote control codes

Registering the remote control code for a TV
You can use the unit's remote control to operate a TV if you have
registered its remote control code.
• You can also register your TV's remote control code to the unit's input selection
keys (p.137). This would allow you to use the cursor keys or numeric keys to
operate the TV (this function may not be available on some TV models).

Use "Remote Control Code Search" in the CD-ROM
to find your TV's remote control code.
• If there are multiple remote control codes, register the first code in the list.
If that does not work, try the other codes.

Press SETUP.
Perform each of the following steps within 30 seconds.
Otherwise, the setting will be canceled. If this happens,
repeat from Step 2.
