Receiving
Memory reception
This machine automatically prints faxes that it has received. However, when
receiving confidential faxes, the received document can be stored in the
memory and printed at a specified time or when memory reception is turned
off.
The memory reception setting is specified in Utility mode. For details on
changing the setting, refer to "Selecting the memory reception mode ("MEM-
ORY RX MODE" parameter)" on page 5-67.
Paper sizes for received faxes
With this machine, received documents can be printed on paper of the fol-
lowing sizes.
Metric: A5 v, B5 v, A4 w/v, B4 w, A3 w
Inch: Invoice (8-1/2 × 5-1/2) v, Letter w/v, Legal (8-1/2 × 14) w, Ledger (11
× 17) w
Automatic reception (dedicated fax mode)
This mode is specified if the telephone line is used only for faxing.
When the number of rings specified with the "NO. of RINGS" parameter are
detected, fax reception begins automatically.
