Making a telephone call

Telephone calls can be made when a telephone is connected to this ma-
chine.

Pick up the telephone receiver.
Check that the dial tone can be heard.

Dial the telephone number of the recipient.

Talk to the recipient after they pick up their telephone receiver.
4
When the conversation is finished, return the telephone receiver to its
cradle.
