About Memory

Memory is where data such as the settings for studio sets and tones are held.
There are three types of memory: "temporary memory" (the temporary area, and the EXPANSION Virtual Slots), "rewritable memory" (user memory,
system memory, and USB memory), and "non-rewritable memory" (preset memory).

Temporary memory
Temporary Area
This area temporarily holds the data of
the studio set or tone that you've selected
from the panel.
When you play, the INTEGRA-7 produces
sound according to the settings in the
temporary area. When you edit a studio
set or a tone, you're not directly modifying
the data in that memory; rather, the data
is called into the temporary area, and your
editing modifies this data.
Settings in the temporary area are
temporary, and will be lost when you turn
off the unit or call up other settings. If you
want to keep the settings of the temporary
area, you must execute the Write operation
(p. 29) to save them into rewritable User
Memory.
EXPANSION Virtual Slots
Sound data from EXPANSION SOUNDS can
be loaded into these memory locations to
expand the available sounds.
You can load four titles of SRX or
SuperNATURAL sound data into these
virtual slots.

Rewritable memory
System Memory
This is memory that holds the system
parameter settings that specify how the
INTEGRA-7 is to operate. To store the
system parameters, execute the System
Write operation (p. 48).
User Memory
This is memory that stores data inside the
INTEGRA-7. To store a studio set, execute
Studio Set Write (p. 34). To store a tone,
execute Tone Write (p. 40). To store a drum
kit, execute Drum Kit Write (p. 40).
* EXPANSION SOUNDS sound data
that you've edited in the temporary
area can be saved in user memory,
but it will not be audible unless the
EXPANSION SOUNDS used by that
sound data have been loaded into an
EXPANSION Virtual Slot.

You can use a USB flash drive to back up
all of the studio sets, tones, and drum kits
in User Memory, together with the system
parameters from System Memory, as a
single collection of data (p. 52).
Of the studio sets and tones saved in the
INTEGRA-7, you can select the desired
sound data and export it to a USB flash
drive. You can also select a desired studio
set or tone from a file that was previously
exported to a USB flash drive, and import
it.
The data in preset memory cannot be
rewritten.
However, settings loaded from preset
memory into the temporary area can be
edited and then stored in user memory.
