Copying
Lift the document feeder cover and place the original facedown, toward the back-left
corner of the document glass.
The original must be aligned to the matching paper size printed on the edge of the
glass.
The document glass accepts paper sizes from 15 x 15 mm (0.59 x 0.59 in.) to A3/297
x 432 mm (11.6 x 17 in.).
The document glass automatically detects standard paper sizes.
Caution
When scanning a bound document, do not attempt to force the document feeder cover
closed. Doing so may damage the document feeder cover.

Document Feeder

Note
The document feeder accepts paper weights from 38 gsm to 128 gsm for 1-sided copying,
and 60 gsm to 128 gsm for 2-sided copying.
Note
The document feeder accepts paper sizes from 125 x 85 mm (4.9 x 3.3 in.) to A3/297 x
432 mm (11.6 x 17 in.).
Note
The maximum feeder capacity is approximately 250 sheets of 80 gsm paper.
1. Insert originals faceup, with page 1 on top. The confirmation indicator illuminates
when the originals are correctly loaded. The document feeder will automatically
detect standard paper sizes.
2. Adjust the paper guides so they fit against the originals.
3. On the control panel touch screen, touch Copy.
4. Use the alphanumeric keypad on the control panel to enter the number of copies.
The number of copies appears in the upper-right corner of the touch screen.
To correct the number of copies entered using the alphanumeric keypad, press
the C button, then reenter the number.
