5. Lower the media hold lever by tilting it down.
NOTES:
6. Close the cover. The head starts to move automatically detecting the media size,
and the following message appears:
MEDIA INITIALIZATION
7. When media is loaded correctly and the printer is ready to receive data, the following
message appears:
PLOT OK
Always remove the roll media and scroller from the scroller
receiver before loading a cut sheet.
Install the media straight so that the printer can accurately
read the actual media size.
If the roll media indicator is ON while a cut sheet is loaded, a
media selection error will display as shown below, and
printing will not complete correctly.
ROLL MEDIA END
You can install a cut sheet both in the horizontal and in the
vertical direction with the exception of the A0 size cut
sheets. This size can only be installed vertically.
The media has a printing side and a nonprinting side.
Printing on the incorrect side can affect print quality. The
printing side normally appears whiter.
