tographic images. The upper row of the display
shows "PHOTO" and the lower shows «DOCU-
MENT READY».
EXTRA PHOTO, if the document contains pho-
tographic images and you wish to obtain an ex-
cellent reproduction. The upper row of the dis-
play shows "EXTRA PHOTO" and the lower
shows «DOCUMENT READY».
When switched on, the fax machine is set auto-
matically to transmit text and graphic documents
with optimum definition.
To transmit clearly defined copies of photo-
graphic images, proceed as follows:

Make sure that the display shows the initial wait-
ing mode and the date and time.

TRANSMITTING A DOCUMENT

Insert the document in the ADF. The display
shows the original value for resolution: «NOR-
MAL».

If the document you are about to transmit is
particularly light or dark, or if it contains very
small characters or drawings, you should
change the pre-set contrast values.

Dial directly on the fax machine keypad the num-
ber (max. 64 digits) to which you want to send
your document.

If you dial the wrong digit: position the cursor

overtype select the correct one. If you want to
delete the number completely, press the

Press the
key to start the transmission.
At the end the message "TX COMPLETED" is
displayed for a few seconds and then the fax
machine returns to the initial waiting mode.
