Fault Code E8 - Solenoid Fault
Check the harness connections at each solenoid coil and at the controller (refer p57) for signs of

any water damage, corrosion or arcing.
Check the resistance of each coil and replace if they fall outside of their indicated range.
2.
Run each solenoid individually in diagnostic hardware output mode (HO) (refer page 30 & 31). A
3.
long low tone indicates incorrect current is being drawn. Replace any solenoid which causes this
tone to occur.
If the fault still occurs, replace the controller.

Fault Code E8 - Sub Code 02 - Under Current
Check the harness connections at both the component and at the controller.
1.
Check resistance of coil to see if open circuit, replace solenoid if open circuit.
2.
If the fault continues, replace the controller.
3.
Test all solenoid coils in diagnostic HO mode.
4.
Fault Code E8 - Sub Code 03 - Over Current
Check the harness connections at both the component and at the controller.
1.
Check resistance of coil to see if short circuit, replace solenoid if short circuit.
2.
If the fault continues, replace the controller.
