Preparing the notebook

To prepare the notebook for maintenance:

Make sure that the optical disc drive is empty.

Turn off the notebook.

Close the LCD panel.

Disconnect the AC adapter.

Disconnect the network cable and all peripheral devices connected to the
notebook.

Make sure there is no memory card on the card reader slot. To remove a
memory card:

Push against the card, as if you were pushing it further into the slot,
letting the card spring out
b
Pull the memory card out of its slot.
