CP4/A IR Receiver

The CP4/A is equipped with an on-board IR receiver that is capable of receiving a one-way 38 KHz
signals (of AMX codes only). The properties for this receiver is capable of being set through
the Using the Adjust Sensors Setup Page on a CP4/A section on page 18. The maximum range is 15
feet (4.57 m) for the AXT and 22 feet (6.71 m) for the AXD unit. Reception angles vary dependant
upon the elevation and location of the installed panel.

CP4/A Audio Tones

The CP4/A is equipped with a transducer that gives the panel the ability to both produce six
different audible tones and deliver sounds from other connected CP4/A panels. The tones are
enabled through the use of the BEEP AXlink Send_Command. Refer to the Beep command section
in the CP4/A Instruction Manual for more detailed information about the tones and their
specifications.

CP4/A Speaker Volume

The speaker volume can be set through either the Speaker Volume section of the Using the Adjust
Sensors Setup Page on a CP4/A section on page 18 or via the use of commands such as SVOL
AXlink Send_Command. Refer to the Using the Audio and IR Device Setup page on a CP4/
A section on page 20.

CP4/A Microphone

The on-board microphone provides a user with the ability to transmit audio from one CP4/A touch
panel to another connected panel on a system. Refer to the Wiring the Touch Panel section on
page 16 for more information on panel wiring diagrams. These transmitted signals can be
configured to transmit to either specific panels or all panels on a system. The microphone volume
can be set through either the Microphone Adjustment section of the Using the Adjust Sensors Setup
Page on a CP4/A section on page 18 or via the use of commands such as MVOL AXlink
Send_Command. Refer to the Using the Audio and IR Device Setup page on a CP4/A section on
page 20.

Creating a Video Window on the AXB-TPI/3

Video Windows are buttons used to display a video feed from the input modules on the touch panel.
The AXB-TPI/3 allows for simultaneous multiple video feeds from up to three different sources (up
to one feed from each of three input modules). Video window buttons can be moved, resized and
customized like any other touch panel button. Before you start, be sure to connect the video source
to the AXB-TPI/3.
