Replacing lamp
Z_ Caution *Be sure to turn off power switch and detach plug from wall outlet before
replacing a lamp bulb.
*Be sure to replace lamp after it has cooled.
Open face plate cover.
Remove lamp base from lamp

Loosen setscrew and remove
lamp mounting base.
* When installing lamp base, align
groove on lamp base with that on
mounting base.
Draw out lamp until it
comes off. 5 Fit a new lamp in place.
* Power consumption of lamp: 3 W (13.5 V)
* Please purchase a new lamp from service center or
from Singer Dealer where you purchased your
machine.
Draw lamp out without twisting it. Slide lamp into place along narrow
groove on lamp base.

before performing maintenance of your machine.
Cleaning to remove lint and dust.
Accumulation of lint or dust may cause problems. Always keep your sewing
machine clean.
Remove needle and presser foot, and clean areas around feed dog, throat
plate and rotating hook bobbin case holder using brush supplied with your
machine as an accessory.
If lint or dust accumulated is too much to clear with brush, remove it with a
vacuum cleaner.
