There are two ways to connect your Cable Box/DBS to theVClqLWith this connection:
• You mayview any channel.
• You must select channels at the Cable Box/DBS.Channelscannotbe changed at theVCR.
• You may not view a channelother than the one you are recording, i_ _
• You maynot set up Channels at theVCR. " "+; •
• You canonly program a timer recording for one channelat a time. Set the'IV and theVCR to the Cable
Box/DBSoutput channel(channel03 or 04),and set your Cable Box/DBSto the channelyou want to
record.When you enter the channelyou want to record in a time_"recording, select channel03 or 04
(the Cable Box/DBS output channel).(This is step 3 on page37.) Leavethe Cable Box/DBSon for a timer
recording.

Connect a Cable signalto the IN jack on the Cable Box/DBS.

Use an RF coaxialcable (supplied)to connectthe OUT jack on
the Cable Box/DBSto the ANT(enna) IN jack on theVCR.

Use a secondRF coaxial cableto connect the RF OUT jack on the
VCR to the TV'sANTENNA IN jack.
Recording/Viewing Any Channel
With theVCR on and inVCR posidon (theVCR light will appear
on the display panel),use the CH(annel) A/V buttons to set the
VCR to the Cable Box/DBSoutput channel(channel03 or 04).

Set the'IV to the same channel to which you set theVCR.
