YourVCR remote control may operate your Cable Box/DBS.
Followthese stepsto set the remote control code.

Point the remote control at your Cable Box/DBS. press
the CBL/DBS button, then press the POWER button. If
your Cable Box/DBSturns on or off,try the CH(annel) &/V but-
tons. If the remote control operatesthe Cable Box/DBS,you're
finished. I f your Cable Box/DBSdoes not turn on or off,or if the
CH(anne!) &/V buttons don't work, go to step2.
Find the code for your Cable
Box/DBS.

Find the brand of your Cable Box/DBS on the list below
and remember the two-digit number beside it.

While you press and hold the CBL/DBS button, use two
Number buttons to enter the two-digit code for your
Cable Box/DBS. For example,if you havea Zenith Cable Box,
press Number buttons 0, 3. Then, still pressing the CBL/DBS
button, press the STOP • button.

Repeat step I. If the remote control still does not work your
Cable Box/DBS,repeat steps 2 - 3 usinga differentcode for your
brand.
If youhad to program the remote
control t o operateyourCable
BoxlDBS, wheneveryou _place the
batteries in the remote control, you
mustprogram the remote control
again.
