Servicing Notes
The BBU should be replaced every two years, or whenever it fails to hold a charge. The
service label on the BBU provides a blank line for recording the date on which the battery
was serviced. Check this label to determine when to replace the BBU. If you replace the
BBU and still experience battery-related problems such as a loss of battery power to the
controllers or batteries not charging properly, the controller enclosure may have a
defective battery harness, battery connection on the controller enclosure midplane, power
harnesses, or power interface board. Under these circumstances, try replacing the battery
harness.
