Auto Attendant Prompts

The Auto Attendant, also known as the virtual receptionist, makes use of voice prompts to welcome
users and to announce instructions . SPA9000, with firmware version 5 .1 .5, supports downloadable AA
prompt files (in any language) . The files will be downloaded from a TFTP/HTTP/HTTPS server at the
device boot up time .
The set of files includes the following types of prompts:
Prompt 1: Greets the caller and prompts for an extension number

Prompt 2: Notifies the caller that the call is being forwarded
•
Prompt 3: Notifies the caller of an invalid extension
•
Prompt 4: Good-bye
•
Prompt 5: Greets the caller with specific prompts for General Information, Sales, and Support .
•
Prompt 6: Notifies the caller that the office is currently closed and prompts for an extension
•

Downloading the Auto Attendant Prompts
1 . Start Internet Explorer, and enter the address of the EMEA Portal (
linksys-itsp .com) .
NOTE:
North American partners can find localization files in the Utilities area of the Linksys
Partner Connection .
2 . In the left navigation pane, select the following links

Configuring the Auto Attendant Prompts
You need to enter the URL for the location where the AA prompts are stored, and the name of the file
that you wish to use for each prompt .
1 . Start Internet Explorer, and enter the IP address of the SPA9000 .
2 . Click Admin Login, and then click Advanced .
3 . Click Voice tab > SIP .
4 . Scroll down to the Auto Attendant Parameters section .
5 . In the AA Prompts URL field, enter the script for the server, path, and prompt file names .
