Connecting Optional Devices
Depending on the site requirements, you may need the following additional devices:
POES5 Power Adapter:

phone to allow it to receive PoE .
MB100 Wall-Mount Kit:

The Wireless-G Bridge for Phone Adapters allows you to connect your IP phone to your

wireless network so that you can install phones in any location within range of your wireless
router . The bridge shares electrical power with the phone adapter or IP phone, so only one power
adapter is needed .
Upgrading the Firmware for the IP Phones
In this procedure, you install the firmware files that you downloaded previously (see
Firmware" on page
26) .
NOTE:
You need to repeat this procedure to upgrade each phone individually .

To find the IP address of the phone, complete the following tasks:
a .
Press the
Setup button on the phone keypad .
b .
Scroll down to
9 - Network, and then press the Select soft key .
c .
Make a note of the Current IP address that is displayed on the phone .
2 .
Use the administration computer to install the latest firmware for this model of IP phone:
a .
Extract the Zip file, and then run the executable file to upgrade the firmware .
b .
When the
Firmware Upgrade Warning window appears, click Continue .
