Charging the battery

Remove the battery.
Remove the cell caps.
Check the battery electrolyte
level.
Connect the battery to a battery
charger.
It is advisable to recharge at a
current of 1/10 of the battery rat-
ed capacity.
Once the battery is recharged,
control the electrolyte level and
top up with distilled water if re-
quired.
Refit the caps to the cells.
CAUTION
REFIT THE BATTERY ONLY 5-10 MI-
NUTES AFTER DISCONNECTING THE
CHARGER AS THE BATTERY KEEPS
PRODUCING GAS FOR A SHORT
TIME.

Long periods of inactivity

In the event of prolonged periods out of
use, the battery is subject to deterioration
and loss of performance.
This is caused by the natural discharging
of the battery itself and by possible resid-

Verwijder de accu.
Verwijder de doppen van de ele-
menten.
Controleer het elektrolytpeil van
de accu.
Verbindt de accu aan een accu-
lader.
Men raadt aan om op te laden
aan een elektrische stroom-
sterkte die 1/10 bedraagt van de
capaciteit van de accu zelf.
Na het opladen, hercontroleert
men het elektrolytpeil en vult
men eventueel bij met gedestil-
leerd water.
Hermonteer de doppen op de
elementen.
LET OP
HERMONTEER DE ACCU ENKEL NA 5-
10 MINUTEN NA HET UITSCHAKELEN
VAN DE LAADAPPARATUUR, OMDAT
DE ACCU EEN KORTE PERIODE GAS
BLIJFT PRODUCEREN.
Länger stillegen
In geval van een verlengde inactiviteit
van het voertuig, verminderen de presta-
ties van de accu.
Dit gebeurt omdat de accu zelf natuurlijk
ontlaadt en door mogelijke resterende
