Did you know ...
You should check the amount
of free space on your hard
drive before downloading or
installing software programs.
If you do not have enough free
space, you will receive an
error message and the
program will not be loaded
onto your computer.

Identifying Your Hard Drive Size
1. Double-click the My
Computer
Windows desktop. The My
Computer window is
displayed
2. Right-click the Hard Drive

3. Select Properties from the
pop-up menu. The
Properties window is
displayed. The size of the
hard drive and the amount of
free space remaining are found
on the General tab.
Note: Your hard drive may be partitioned into two drives, the
C drive and the D drive. These two drives make up your total hard drive
capacity. Your D drive contains important operating system backup files
and diagnostics.
