The following conditions are required in order to use the memory link online
transfer function.

This format reduces the size of files to less than 1.4 MB to allow the files to be
stored on floppy disks. The mmi format can be selected when screen data is be-
ing stored with the NT-series Support Tool for Windows (Version 4). The file for-
mat is the standard file format.
The mmi format deletes the following information in order to reduce file size:
Grid information in screens created with the Support Tool
Group information for grouped elements

for more details on the file formats.
When the memory link online transfer function is being used, screen data in the
PT can be changed freely from the host. Two example applications are de-
scribed below.
A maintenance program can be executed in the host to automatically write and
start screen data for maintenance in the PT.
