Response Codes
C
Response codes are informational messages sent from the
modem and displayed on your monitor. These messages are the
modem's response to commands you have sent to the modem.
They can inform you of the status of a call (Ring, No Answer), or
whether or not a command is valid (OK, Error), or whether or
not the modem has connected using error control (Connect
14,400 REL-MNP).
The KeepInTouch Card modem ships from the factory
configured to use the word format. If your computer requires
that you use the numbers format instead, refer to the V
command on page 4-6.
The Q command is used to enable and disable the reporting of
any response codes from the modem. When Q0 is set so that
response codes are enabled, the list of response codes reported
by the modem depends on the settings of the X and \V
commands. A summary of how X and \V affect the response
codes reported by the modem is shown in Table C-1.
