Select Data Rate Handshake
This command allows you to select whether or not the
modem-to-modem data rate can be different than the local
computer-to-modem data rate. For more information on this
command, refer to Appendix D, Advanced Modem Concepts.

Return to Online Data Mode
This command allows you to exit Online Command mode and
return to Data mode.

Pulse Dial (Used with rotary telephone lines)
This command configures the modem for Pulse dialing. To
disable Pulse dialing issue the T (tone dial) command.

Response Codes
This command determines whether or not the modem will send
response codes to the computer.

S n = x
Change S-Register
This command is used to change the value of an S-Register.
S-Registers are described in Table 4-2, which begins on
page 4-20.
n = the number of the S-Register you want to change.
x = the new value for S-Register n, in decimal format.
For example, ATS18=20 will load the value 20 into
S-Register 18.
Only communicate at the local computer-to-modem
data rate. This option is only needed for specialized
applications and is not recommended for most users.
Attempt to use the local computer-to-modem data
rate, but if the remote modem does not support
that rate, fall down to the highest compatible data
rate.
Returns the modem to Data mode.
Begins an equalizer retrain sequence, then returns to
Data Mode. This command is only valid for 2400 bps
connections.
Enables response codes.
Disables response codes.
