Use Mode 2 traps when the Proxy Agent Interface application is not used. To use
the Proxy Agent Interface application, refer to
The following COMSPHERE 6700 NMS MIB variable bindings are included in
each trap message.
Trap Serial Number (nmsTempSerial)
Device Name (nmsTempName)
System Time (nmsSystemTime)
Table 3-2 identifies Mode 2 (Enhanced Mode) traps that apply to all Paradyne
devices (DSU, Dial, and APL). Not all devices produce all traps; refer to the
device columns. Traps 33–78 and 233–278 are new with Release 2.0.
Traps 101–117 are Dial Security alerts.
NOTE:
Trap numbers 1–32 are reserved for Primary Alerts. The state of a device's
Primary Alerts can also be read from devStatusAlert. Traps 33–78 are
Secondary Alerts with additional information on Primary Alerts (Traps 1–32).
