Alarm Filter Profile

3-14
Reports generated from the NMS Report MIB group are created in a subdirectory
such as c:\PCNMS\SNMP\REPORTS (assuming the default directory is used).
Refer to Appendix B,
NMS 6700 MIB
The report names are user-specified and are typically transferred to the SNMP
Manager via FTP. All report files are generated using ASCII characters with one
record per line. The date/time variable is formatted as:
yyyymmdd hh:mm:ss
Each field is delimited by a semicolon, and each entry is terminated by a carriage
return and a linefeed. The types of reports that can be generated include:
Alarm Filter Profile
Alarm History Report
Call Fault Report
Call History Report
Device Report
Each SNMP manager can use a different filter profile. The files can be created at
the 6700 NMS with a text editor or created remotely using the nmsAlarm MIB.
The alarm filter profile uses the standard Windows ini file conventions of
section keys and key-value pairs. The default file is a straight text file. Enter a
trap number and the action to be taken when a trap occurs.
SNMP Proxy provides a file:
\PCNMS\SNMP\CONFIG\DEFAULT.AFP
