The display ---° F a ppears in t he instr ument clus-
t er when the engine oil temperature is below
140 °F (60 °() .
The engine has reached its operati ng tempera-
t ure when the engine oil t emperature is between
17 6 °F (80 °C) and 248 ° F (120 °C) under normal
driving conditions. The engine oil temperature
may be higher if there is heavy engine load and
high temperatures outside. This is not a cause for
concern as long as the • ¢

Tips
- You can select the un its used for tempera-
ture, speed and other measurements in the
Infotainment system.
- If your vehicle is stationary or if you are driv-
ing at very low speeds, the temperatu re dis -
played may be slightly higher than the ac-
tual tempe rature outs ide d ue to the heat ra-
d iat ing from the eng ine.
- At t empe ratures below 41 °F (+5 °C), a
s nowflake symbol appears in fro nt of t he
temperatu re display ¢ &. in Overview on
page
19.

Introduction
Lap tim er
You can measure and analyze lap t imes with the
lap time r in the d isplay. The time is measured in
minutes, seconds and 1/1 0 seconds. With lap
t imes longer t han 60 minutes, the hou r is also
shown and the display of 1/10 seconds is re-
moved.
The ti me meas uremen t on an individ ual lap ends
aft er 99 hours 59 m inutes an d 59 seconds. A
new lap sta rt s automatically after that .
The measu rement ends afte r a maximum of 30
laps. You can the n eva luate the lap times or sta rt
a new t ime m easu rement.
You can control the lap timer using the controls
o n the mu ltifunction stee ring wheel
