The cigarette lighter or socket on ly functions
when the ignition is switched on.
Using the cigarette lighter
• If necessary, slide t he cover fo rward to reac h
the ciga rette lighter.
• Press t he cigarette lighte r in.
• Remove the cigarette lighter when it pops out .
Using the socket
• If necessary, slide t he cove r fo rward to reac h
the socket .
• Remove the cigarette lighter, if necessary.
• Insert the plug of the electrical device into the
socket.
The cigarette lighter has a standa rd 12 Volt sock-
et t hat electrical accessor ies can be connected to.
The power consumption at the outlet must not
exceed 100 watts.

WARNING
Use care when using the cigarette lighter. In-
attent ive or unsu pervised use of the cigarette
light er can cause bur ns.

Note
- To red uce the risk of damage to the vehicle
electrical system, neve r attempt to charge
the vehicle battery by connecting accesso-
ries that provide power, such as solar panels
or battery chargers, to the 12 Volt sockets
or the cigaret t e lighte r.
- To reduce the risk of damage to the sockets,
only use plugs that fit correctly .

- Never dr ive with cont ainers t ha t con t ain hot
liquid such as coffee or t ea. The hot liquid
could sp ill and cause burns during a colli-
sion, s udden brak ing or other vehicle move-
ment. Spilled hot liquid can also increase
the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Only use soft conta iners in the cup holders .
Hard cups and glasses can increase the ris k
of injury du ring a collision.
- Never use the cup holder or the adapte r as
an ashtray- th is is a fire hazard .
