- Increasing or decreasing the volume :

Tachometer
The tachometer displays the engine speed in rev-
olutions per minu te (RPM).
The beg inning of t he red zone in the tachometer
indicates t he maxim um permissible engine spee d
for all gea rs once the engine has been broken in
and when it is warm. Before reaching the red
zone, you should sh ift into the next higher gea r,
choose the D or S se lector lever pos it ion, or re -
move yo ur foot from th e accele rator peda l.
