DOWNSTREAM KEYER section
COLOR MATTE stick
Adjust the color of the letters or figures inserted with the
downstream keyer. The hue is adjusted by rotating the stick
and the chroma level is adjusted by tilting the stick.
This stick is effective when the INSERT selector is set to CM.
. LUM (luminace) control
Adjusts the brightness of the color selected by the COLOR
MATTE stick. Clockwise rotation brightens the color.
Usually, set the contro! within the range as shown below. If
the control is to set outside the range, it isrecommended to
monitor the signal with a waveform moniior.
EDGE control
The edge of the letters and figures inserted with the
downstream keyer is adjusted.
KEY LEVEL contro!
Adjusts the downstream keying level.
INSERT selector
CM:
Tocolor the inserted letters and figures with the built-in
color matt generator. The color is selected by the COLOR
MATTE stick and LUM control.
BIW:
The inserted letters and figures will be monochrome.
EXT: When the letters from the SMC-70G/70GP
microcomputer are inserted, the color supplied by the
computer is used.
NORMAL/INVERT selector
NORMAL:
When keying biack letters against.a white
background.
INVERT:
When keying white letters against a black
background.
