To memorize the setting of buttons or switches and the
transition of the levers and sticks, proceed as follows.

1 Set the switches and buttons on the SEG-2550/2550P to the
condition to be memorized.
2 Place the event number in which the data is to be
memortad at the center by pressing the « key or the >
key,
3 Press the Min key.
The event number at the center « on the screen starts
blinking, and the TAKE button also starts blinking.
4 Execute the effect to be memorized as follows :
Cut
is automatically memorized at a time.
Transition
0 Designate the lever or stick to be used by the
Touse the EFF lever: 1 -
Touse the INSERT lever: 3
To use the POSITION stick: 4
To use the BACKGROUND COLOR stick: 5
To use the LUM control ot BACKGROUND COLOR:

To use the COLOR MATTE stick: 7
Touse the LUM control of COLORMATTE:

Touse the SOFTNESS/BORDER control: 9
2). Press the TAKE button.
Memorizing the movement of the designated lever or
stick starts

3) Move the stick or lever designated in step 1).
The data of an event is memorized. Repeat steps 1 through 4
tomemorize the data more.

* The event number can be automatically increased by one.
Refer to "MODE SETTING".
© In the file in which the data has been memorized, the
data cannot be entered. To enter new data, erase the
memorized data, and enter the new data. For details on
erasing data, refer to "TO ERASE DATA".
¢ When the transition memory Is full, the indication of
TR-M will be FULL, and new data cannot be entered. To
enter the data, store the memorized data on a memory
device such as a floppydisk by a microcomputer, and
erase the data memorized in E-file.
© Even if the TR-M indication is FULL, certain special
;
effects unrelated to the transition memory (such as CUT)
can be memorized, if the event memory is not full.
© The transition memory and the event memory are
separate. Transitions are memorized in the order in which
they are executed regardless of the event number
sequence. If an event number (except for the last in a
transition memory map) Is cancelled, its space will not be
saved. No other event number may be substituted in the
cancelled event number's space.
