EXTERNAL KEY
Apart of one picture is cut out, and another picture is inserted
into the cut-out part. The part to be cut out is designated by
the picture picked up by a black and white camera connected
to the EXT KEY connector. This is called "external keying".
The signal picked up by the black and white camera is called
a key signal.

1 Pick up the pattern for an external key signal, and adjust
the focus, size and position.
2 Set the PGMIPST selector to PGM.
3 Press the EFF button of the PST select buttons.
The EFF button and the EFFECTS indicator will light.
4 select the pictures by pressing an A bus select button and
a B. bus select button.
5 press the EXT KEY button.

The picture selected by a A bus select bution is inserted
into the picture on the program monitor.
5 Tum the EXT KEY LEVEL control until the outline of the
inserted picture will be clear.
If necessary, adjust the size and position of the inserted
picture.
