DATA COMPARISON MODE (EDT)
_ When an event is recalled, the buttons on the control panel
are automatically set according to the data in the event. To
_ set the switches, levers, or sticks manually, use the EDT (data
comparison) mode. in this mode, the indication in which
direction the levers and sticks should be moved, is displayed'
on the monitor screen.
'1 Place the event whose data is to be compared at the center
by pressing the <- key or the — key.
2 Press the EDT key.
The data of the event and the Indication are displayed.
To change the displayed page, press the | key.

SWITCH SETTING
Set the switches on the control panel of the SEG-2550/2550P
referring to the event data displayed on the screen.
LEVER AND STICK SETTING
Move the levers and sticks referring to the indication on the
right of the screen. The numbers on the screen correspond to
the numbers printed on the control panel, and the arrow
marks indicate the direction to move the fever or stick. Move
the sticks until the arrow mark ig changed to the * mark.
= Move the stick to left.
— Move the stick to right.
t Move the stick or lever upward.
+ Move the stick or lever downward.
® The data of the E-File and the setting condition on the
control panel are continuously compared so that the
reaction of the indication may be delayed from the actual
setting.
TO TERMINATE THE DATA COMPARISON MODE
Press theC key.

REMOTE MODE
The SEG-2550/2550P can be remotely controlled by a
microcomputer or a VTR editing control unit through the
RS-232C interface.
When the unit Is remotely controlled by external equipment,
press the REM key. The SEG-2550/2550P Is set in the remote
control mode, and the controlled condition is displayed on
the display monitor. The present condition is indicated by "*"
mark before the displayed item.
The meaning of each item displayed in the remote mode is as
follows :
_ DIRECT: TheSEG-2550/2550P is controlled by a micro-
computer or an editing control unit independent of the
E-File,
.
E-FILE: The operation of "MR" using the E-File of the
SEG-2550/2550P is remotely controlled.
SAVE:
The data of the E-File is saved.
LOAD:
The data of the E-File is loaded.
