WHAT IS "E-File"?
Each effect, such as cut, wipe, etc. to be executed is called an
event. The SEG-2550/2550P memorizes the satting of buttons
and switches and movement of levers and sticks (this is
called transition) event by event.
The memory of events is called "E-File (Event-file)". The E-File
is composed of two memories, the event memory and the
transition memory. The event memory can memorize up to 63
events, and the transition memory can memorize 4 through 6
minutes of transition period. The transition period is the total
period required to execute all memorized lever and stick
operations. The limit of the period differs depending upon the
levers or sticks to be operated. When either of the event or
transition memory is full, the event cannot be memorized.
The events memorized in the E-File can be recalled at any
time and be executed by the TAKE button. Instead of the
TAKE button, execution can be remotely controlled by a
microcomputer or a VTR editing contro! unit through the
RS-232C interface.
The operation of E-File will be done by the keys in the E-File
section.
