1. Outline
The upper and lower rollers of the fixing
assembly
are driven by the main motor
(Ml).
The upper roller is heated by a single
heater (H 1:9OOW). When the surface tem-
perature of the roller rises, the resistance of
the thermistor (TH) falls, so the voltage of
the signal that it produces FIXING ROLLER
TEMPERATURE
signal; TH 1 also falls.
Whether
the voltage of TH 1 (analog) is
above or below a certain level at a given
time determines
if the microprocessor
of
the DC controller makesthe FIXING ROLLER
DRIVE command (HTRD) "1" or "0".
The target
temperature
of the fixing
roller depends on the cassette size and the
type of developing unit.
