Timer wake up
Before proceeding
@ Make sure that the timer's clock is set to the correct time.
@ Timer recording:
Make sure a blank cassette tape is loaded into the tape Il
deck (or tape | deck on the HX-M830W model). Also make
sure that the station you wish to record has been memorized
at one of the tuner's channels.
@ Timer wake up:
Prepare the source you wish to listen to (compact disc, cas-
sette tape etc.). If you wish to listen to a station, it must firstbe
memorized at one of the tuner's channels.
Timer recording
Press the tuner's TIMER REC button.
The "ONCE" or "EVERY" indicator will appear on the FL dis-
play and the "?" and "TIMER REC" indicators will flash.
5 Press the MEMO button to memorize the hour.
Press the TUNING < / > buttons to set the turn on
minutes.
1 1 Press the MEMO button to memorize the minutes.
1 ? Press the TUNING < / > buttons to select the channel
that contains the station you wish to record.
1 Press the MEMO button to memorize the channel.
"PROGRAM FINISH' will appear on the frequency/mess-
age display.
{ Press the TIMER ON/OFF button until the TIMER REC
indicator appears on the FL display.
1 Press the POWER button to turn the power off.
When the memorized turn on time is reached the power will
be turned on and recording will begin. When the mem-
orized turn off time is reached, recording will stop and the
power will be turned off.
Note:
@ When using the timer recording function we recommend
that you set the volume to minimum.
@ We recommend that the turn on time for timer recording be
set one or two minutes ahead of the start of the programme
you wish to record.
To cancel timer recording
@ Press the TIMER ON/OFF button until the TIMER REC
indicator disappears.
Data will be retained but timer recording will not be activated.
To reactivate timer recording, press the TIMER ON/OFF but-
ton until the TIMER REC indicator is displayed.
Note:
@ Timer recording can only be cancelled when the power is on.
To set the turn on/off time over a 2
day period.
Example:
To set the turn on time at 11:30 PM, and the turn off time at
2:30 AM of the next day.
| Set the turn on time at 23:30.
Set the turn off time at 2:30.
The maximum interval between turn on and off times
that can be set is 23 hours and 59 seconds.
Timer Wake up
Press the tuner's WAKE UP button.
The "ONCE" or "EVERY" indicator will light on the FL dis-
play and the "?" and "WAKE UP" indicators will flash.
Press the TUNING < / > buttons to select the "ONCE"
or "EVERY" setting.
3 Press the MEMO button to memorize the setting.
Press the TUNING < / > buttons to set the turn on
hour.
5 Press the MEMO button to memorize the hour.
Press the TUNING < / > buttons to set the turn on
minutes.
7 Press the MEMO button to memorize the minutes.
Press the TUNING < / > buttons to set the turn off
hour.
9 Press the MEMO button to memorize the hour.
