FM antennas
FM broadcasts provide excellent sound quality, but in order to
take advantage of this, the radio waves must be received
properly. We recommend that you select an antenna appropri-
ate for your area.
About the provided FM antenna
The FM antenna thatis provided with this unit is a basic type. Ex-
tend its ends and move it around until the best reception is ob-
tained.
Multi element FM outdoor antenna
When choosing a multi element outdoor antenna, choose the
number of elements according to how far you are from the radio
station. The greater the number of elements, the more signals
your antennawill receive, and this in turn will improve the direc-
tivity and lessen multi path distortion.
FM antenna plug
If you wish to use an antenna other than the one provided, the
antenna's cable (75 ohm coaxial cable) must first be attached to
the provided FM antenna plug before it can be connected to the
tuner's 75 Q terminal (as shown in the following illustration).
