Note:
@ Continuous recording from the tape II deck to the tape | deck
is not possible.
@ Aftercontinuous recording, set the REC/PB MODE switch to
the STD position.
Simultaneous recording (HX-M830W
model only)
Use the simultaneous recording feature to simultaneously rec-
ord the same source on two cassette tapes loaded in the tape |
and II deck.
@ Set the REC/PB MODE button to the SIMUL position
and start recording.
Recording will take place on both cassette tapes simulta-
neously. Recording will stop automatically when recording
on the A and B sides of both cassette tapes has finished.
Note:
@ We recommend that cassette tapes of the same length be
used for simultaneous recording.
@ After simultaneous recording, set the REC/PB MODE switch
to the STD position.
Synchro recording
When recording from a CD, use the synchro recording feature
to start recording.and CD playback at the same time.
1 Follow the normal recording procedure until step 5.
Press the remote control's SYN REC button to start
synchro recording.
The cassette deck will enter the recording mode, and play-
back of the compact disc will begin automatically.
Auto mute
During recording, use the auto mute function to make a 4 sec-
ond blank space between selections.
Press the AUTO MUTE button once at the point you
wish to leave a blank section.
The play indicator will light and the REC indicator will flash
to indicate that the auto mute mode is engaged. After leav-
ing a 4 second blank space the deck will enter the recor-
ding standby mode. The play indicator will flash.
Press the > or <] button (when recording on the
reverse side of the cassette tape) to resume recor-
ding.
Bulk erasing
The auto mute mode can be used to erase long portions of tape.
Press the REC PAUSE button to engage the recording
1 standby mode.
2 Press the AUTO MUTE button twice.
The play indicator will light and the REC indicator will flash
quickly to indicate that the auto mute mode is engaged.
The auto mute mode will continue until the end of the tape
is reached or the U button is pressed.
Dolby HX PRO system (HX-M830W
model only)
This double cassette deck features the Dolby HX PRO sys-
tem which was developed to improve high frequency re-
sponse during recording. When recording music etc., the
Dolby HX PRO system operates automatically to obtain a
higher linearity of the high frequencies. As the benefits of
the Dolby HX PRO system are gained during recording,
cassette tapes recorded on this cassette deck can be
played back with the same improved results on any cas-
sette deck.
