LANC stands for Local Application
Control Bus System. The _ control jack
is used for controlling the tape transport
of video equipment and other
peripherals connected to the video
equipnmnt. This jack has the same
function as the jack indicated as
CONTROL L or REMOTE.

Connect an external ndcrophone
(not supplied). This jack also accepts
a "plug-in-power" microphone.

image.
The lens for your camcorder was developed jointly hy Carl Zeiss. in Germany, and
Sony Corporation. It adopts the MTF measurement system fen"video camera and
offers a quality as the Carl Zeiss lens.
* MTF is an abhreviation of Modulation Transfer Function/Factor.
The value number indicates the amotmt of light of a suhject penetrating into the
lens.
