2. Printing
Checking Garments
Check the color of the garment that you want to use.
White garments
For printing on white garments or light-color garments which do not require the white undercoat, only color
inks are used.
•
Set the temperature of the heat press device to 356˚F or 180˚C.
Light-color garments
When producing colors that are true to the design or when the design uses white, perform the following:
•
Use the dark-color (black) garments method.
•
Specify not to use the black from the garment via ColorGATE Productionserver.
When prioritizing softness to the touch, perform the following:
•
Use the white garments method.
Dark-color (black) garments
Printing on dark-color (black) garments uses white and color ink. Mostly, the machine performs printing
with white ink first and then with color ink.
If you want to print in dark-color garment mode after printing in light-color garment mode (only the color
head is used), perform NOZZLE CHECK to check the nozzles of the white ink, and then perform AUTO
HEAD CLEAN if necessary. Then, start printing.

Perform pre-treatment for the garment.
For details, see page 89, "Pre-treatment of Dark Colored Garments".

To improve the quality of the printed image, it is recommended that you change the dry time for
drying white ink before printing with color ink starts. Set the value in [Drying Time] on the OPTION
screen to "20 sec".
Increasing the "Drying Time" will reduce your productivity.
•
Set the temperature of the heat press device to 330˚F or 165˚C.
