3. Maintenance
Agitate the ink
• Hold the cartridge as shown in Figure 1.
• Hold the white ink cartridge with the ink supply port face up.
• Shake the ink cartridge by tilting it side to side at 45°degree angles, as shown below.
• Shake the cartridge for 50 seconds at a speed of 2 back-and-forth shakes per second.
IMPORTANT! Shaking ink cartridges in other ways may cause nozzle clogging or affect the print
quality when the ink cartridge is low on ink.

After agitating the ink, wipe off any ink stains on the ink supply port
Count Manually (at a button)
The printer will prompt you every 12 hours with the following message:
Pull out each white cartridge, then "Start" button is displayed for each target cartridge.

Press "Start", button changes to "Counting" and counter will start to decrease.
When you insert the cartridge before counter reaches 0, the counter will pause, button will change to
•
"Resume".
•
If you remove the cartridge again and press "Resume", timer will restart, and button will return to
"Counting".
All the counters reach 0, then the printer will display the following message:
