10.1. Update the firmware
RICOH Ri 1000X has 2 manual firmware update methods.
Follow the procedure described in this manual to update.
For details, see below chapter.
•
Update by using USB drive
•
Update by connecting your PC and RICOH Ri 1000X with Ethernet cable
Note - If you installed the Data Collector Module, you can be easy to update automatically.
For details about how to install the Data Collector Module, see page 57, "Setup Driver".
Below are the steps to update manually.
Update by using USB drive
Insert USB drive into PC and save updater files.
Save the folder "Ri_1000X_Updater" to USB drive with the directory shown below.
Note - Use a USB drive with the following specification.
Format: FAT32
Capacity: 32GB or less recommended.
Be sure to save files in the above directory. If files are saved in different directory, firmware
cannot update normally.
USB drive is not included in this product, please prepare USB drive yourself.
