This document explains the functionality and the approved use of the CuratOR LX490W. To
ensure clarity, it does not contain all detailed information on this product.

1.2 Intended use
The EIZO CuratOR LX490W is designed specifically for viewing medical images and video
data.
The LX490W is intended for use by health care professionals to display images from a vari-
ety of medical imaging devices, in particular endoscopic and PACS systems, but not mam-
mography, on a single video monitor.
The LX490W is intended for use in the patient vicinity within the OR and other sterile medi-
cal environments, but is not intended for direct patient contact.
The LX490W can be installed in a ceiling suspension or a wall mount, or a stand.
1.3 User
User
In the following, health personnel such as surgeons or medical technicians are referred to
as the "user".
Service/service personnel
The terms "service" or "service personnel" denote specially trained and authorized person-
nel, e.g. hospital technicians, medical device manufacturers.
