2. Remove the carbon from the cylinder
head combustion Chamber and piston
head with a screw driver or with a wire
brush, and then wipe them with a
clean cloth.
Note:
The cylinder head bolts should be
tightened evenly in the order as- illus-
trated on the left.
Tightening torque:
15 ft/lbs. (1.0 m-kg)
Cleaning the muff ler
The silenser should be removed and
cleaned every 2,000 miles (3,000 km).
1. Remove the silencer tube hol.ding
bolts.
2. Pull o u t the silencer tube with a plier.
3. Remove the carbon by heating the
silencer tube with a torch.
Fuel pet cock
The filter element should be removed and
clean every 2,000 miles (3,000 km).
1. Remove the cup from the fuel pet
cock.
2. Clean the filter element with gasoline.
