Air Filter
1. Open the seat and remove the rubber
band holding the air cleaner case cap.
2. Raise the cleaner element and remove
it.
Cleaning
The air cleaner is a paper filter. Never
wash the filter in gasoline. Blow com-
pressed air through it from the inside.
Never wash the filter in water or oil: use
air only. After cleaning, apply a small
amount of oil to both ends of the cleaner
element in order to facilitate its entry
into the cleaner case.
Cleaning the cylinder heads and
pistons
The cylinder head and piston should be
cleaned every 2,000 miles (3,000 km).
1. Remove the cylinder head bolts, and
remove the cylinder head.
