Applications

This chapter describes the applications installed on the LEX device.
Normally, you access the applications from the Home screen by clicking the
NOTICE: Runtime Permissions: User can now directly manage application permissions at
runtime.

The Apps screen displays icons for all installed applications.

AOSP Browser — Use to access the Internet
or agency intranet.
Calendar — Use to manage events and ap-
pointments.
Calculator — Provides the basic and scientific
arithmetic functions.
Camera / Video Recorder — Take photos or
record videos. For more information, see

Clock / Alarms — Use to set an alarm, stop-
watch, or timer.
CRYPTR — The CRYPTR micro encryption
card is used for voice encryption in features
such as data and phone over Virtual Private
Network (VPN) and Push-to-Talk (PTT) commu-
nication.
Downloads — Lists all downloads files.
Email — Use to send and receive email.
File Browser — Use to view and manage files.
Gallery — Use to view photos stored on the de-
vice. For more information, see

Messaging — Send SMS and MMS messages.
