Fields and Attributes
Profile Name – The name for the specific set of communication
parameters.
Profile Type – "Public" profiles are those that meet specific standards
e.g., ETSI or ANSI. "Private" profiles do not meet these standards.
The ports on a VDSL switch can be assigned the same or different
private profiles. If a public profile is configured on the switch and you
want the switch VDSL ports to use private profiles, you must first
disable the public profile by using the no efm profile global
configuration command.
Downstream Rate – Rate of data transmission from the switch to the
CPE.
Upstream Rate – Rate of data transmission from the CPE to the
switch.
