4.8.14 The Leading/Trailing Edge Margin Is Long

Cause:
In some custom paper presets, the leading/trailing edge margins are wide enough
to prevent paper jams.

Solution:
Adjust the leading/trailing edge margins.
1. In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper in use, reduce the value by 0.5
mm in [13: Adjust Erase Margin of Leading Edge].
2. Reduce the value by 0.5 mm in [14: Adjust Erase Margin of Trailing Edge].
3. Print the image. Is the problem resolved?
Yes

If this results in a paper jam during duplex printing, restore the previous
setting.
Note:
• The adjusted margin cannot be applied to masked images that are solid-filled or
contain ruled lines at the leading/trailing edges.
• Reducing the leading/trailing edge margin may result in a paper jam on the
fusing belt stripper plate.
