Functional comparison between
LinkPlexer 1.1, LinkPlexer 1.2, and
LinkPlexer 6.0
Co-residency support based on target
operating system, as discussed in "Co-
residency" on page 19.
LinkPlexer 1.1 and LinkPlexer 1.2 support
Windows NT 4.0/2000 server. LinkPlexer 6.0
supports Windows 2003.
LinkPlexer 1.2 supports pcAnywhere 10.5
while LinkPlexer 6.0 supports pcAnywhere

Server specification increased to support
minimum specification for Windows 2003.
LinkPlexer 1.1 halts installation on non-
supported operating systems. LinkPlexer 1.2
and LinkPlexer 6.0 do not check the target
operating system.
Engineering capability of the software is
consistent across all releases. Engineering
data for LinkPlexer 6.0 is captured as part of
the validation cycle and used to provide
guidelines for operation and co-residency
Installshield-generated installation programs
on all releases. Automatic upgrades between
releases is not supported.
