Recommended Standard Designations
The new designation of the Electronic Industries Association (EIA) supersedes the
Recommended Standard (RS) designations. References to the old designations may be shown
when depicting actual text (e.g., RS-232). All other references in the manual refer to EIA
designations.
Preface
A WARNING informs you about a possible hazard that MAY CAUSE DEATH
or SERIOUS INJURY.
A CAUTION informs you about a possible hazard that MAY CAUSE INJURY
or PROPERTY DAMAGE.
A NOTE gives you important information about a task or the equipment.
A REFERENCE directs you to additional information about a task or the
equipment.
