Menu selection
Purpose
Hex Trace
Helps isolate the source of
a print job problem.
Coverage
Provides an estimate of
Estimator
the percent coverage of
cyan, magenta, yellow, and
black on a page. The
estimate is printed on a
separator page.
LCD Contrast
Adjusts the contrast of the
operator panel display.
LCD Brightness
Adjusts the brightness of
the operator panel display.

PDF Menu

Use this menu selection to change printer settings that affect PDF jobs.

Scale to Fit
Scales page content to fit the
selected media size.
Annotations
Specifies whether to print
annotations in the PDF.

PostScript Menu

Use this menu selection to change printer settings that affect jobs using the PostScript printer language.

Prints a page defining the
PostScript emulation error when
an error occurs.

With Hex Trace selected, all data sent to
the printer is printed in hexadecimal and
character representation. Control codes
are not executed.
Note: To exit Hex Trace, turn the printer off,
or reset the printer by pressing the Stop
button.
Percent coverage is not printed.
Prints the estimated percentage of
coverage for each color on a page.
5* is the default setting.
A higher value will make the display appear
lighter, a lower value makes the display
appear darker.

the display, a lower value decreases the

Yes—Scales the page to fit the
selected print media.
No*—Does not scale the page;
printed text or graphics will be
cropped if they are larger than the
selected print media.

Print—Prints PDF annotations.
Discards the print job without printing an
error message.
Prints an error message before it
discards the job.
